Depression

Depression is a common but serious mental health condition that affects how people feel, think, and behave. It is characterized by persistent feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and a lack of interest or pleasure in activities that once brought joy. Along with emotional symptoms, depression can also lead to physical symptoms like fatigue, changes in appetite or sleep patterns, and difficulty concentrating. In severe cases, it can interfere with a person’s ability to function at work, school, or in social settings. Fortunately, depression is treatable through therapies like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), medications, and lifestyle changes.
